This 'class' is going to be a bit different. Sign up here - we will not require payment. Then I will email everyone when and where. I'm thinking my house (on the mountain yes - and after the road is fixed after this glorious monsoon) to practice in high distraction areas (sheep and poultry) - we'll do vehicle and outdoor searches, and maybe even interior in the horse trailer. Mt Lemmon - we'll do buried under pine needles and vehicle on our cars, we can do complex things with wind and terrain. Both locations offer great SAR opportunities as well. If I can get permission we'll go to big box retail stores like Tractor supply or nurseries. The date on the calendar will show 2027 so that you can sign up at any time. You are not committing to anything other than interest. If you cannot go when I email, simply state that you cannot go. If you can, cool! We'll see you there! All dogs must have some skill with a scent tin of some kind. We'll use birch to make things easy, but we welcome whatever you want to work. Dogs do not need any former understanding of search and rescue (SAR) - some places will be better for SAR, and I will mention them in the emails. Once it cools down we will begin looking at times and places - we will need a minimum of 3 dogs for some places. Again, signing up is no commitment - it is interest only.
