Service Description
Obedience, when done right is fun, fast, and fluid! Once we get past the basics of 'sit' and 'down', we can begin to build foundations for a stunning heel, fast responses, and a Stay that actually means stay. This class is for any dog that has a basic set of beginner behaviors (sit, down, stay, loose leash walk). This is a working class! We will continue working through loose leash walking and it's various forms so that they work in the real world. We will focus on adding distance, and distractions to our recall work, achieving snappy, happy recalls in more environments. (recall is fancy dog-trainer speak for coming when called) We will add drive and speed to existing behaviors, and talk about intermittent reward schedules, and proofing behaviors in other locations to build fluency for your dog. This class is great for those who want more from their obedience, thought obedience was boring, or are looking to begin training for competition obedience sports (rally, and AKC obedience) Classes will run for 4 weeks beginning November 22. Wednesdays at 6 pm Class cost is $100. You may pay with cash or check on the first day of class, or credit through the website - we cannot take credit cards in person. Class takes place at The Dog Spot, 3669 E 44th St. Paige will be your instructor.
