Service Description
Dogs work stock differently, and certain breeds, German Shepherds, Belgian malinois, Belgian shepherd, Belgian Tervern, and Belgian Lakenois, as well as the related French breeds of Berger Picard, briars, and beauceron, among others, were bred to herd very differently. Instead of the huge sweeping outrun of the border collie, or the tight angled sweeps of the kelpie and cattledogs, these dogs were bred to work in lines as 'living fences' to keep their stock off the roads, and safe from traffic. We will be offering a four week class that will introduce these breeds to stock working within their instincts. No previous stock work is necessary. Class begins Saturday, September 23 at 8 am at my mountain top ranch. We will send directions and updated weather information the week prior to class. Cost will be $160 for 4 weeks.. We are limiting this class to 10 dogs.
