In this class we will build the all-important foundation skills required to have a stable, bold, dog capable of doing whatever you have in mind. In this class we will discuss drive building, focus building, skill building for strong body awareness, warm up and cool down protocols, play building, proofing against distractions, and so much more! This class is designed for any dog or puppy whose lifestyle requires confidence, drive, and precision Class begins Tuesday November 12 at 6 pm. Class runs for 5 weeks, and costs $180

Our 2024 dog camp was a huge hit! We are already in the planning stages for our 2025 camp, tentatively scheduled for the first week of April. We will hold it over three days (Fri-Sun) on a friend's private ranch. We will provide fantastic food, conversation, education, crafts, and more. Three days of everything dog. We will have trainers from diverse training backgrounds in to teach us what they know best. A true camp experience, we invite you to bring an RV and stay for the duration. We will also look at partnering with a nearby boutique, dog-friendly hotel for those without RVs. You'll be close enough, you won't miss a thing! A sampling our 2024 camp: Cooperative care, building platforms, and a home made tug, a custom designed first aid kit, and a veterinarian to explain how to use it, focus games, slow-motion examination of each dog moving and in-depth evaluations of structural conformation, a sheepherding demonstration, freestyle foundations and demo, and so much more! At this point, all spots will be working spots, with a maximum of 12. Prices: $465 all-included We will announce trainers, and events as they become set. We can help you train your dog the beautiful and challenging sport of herding. We offer private herding classes on a one-on-one basis using sheep. This is a Safety First Class. Sheep safety will be taken very seriously. Whether you want to trial, or just see what your dog has, we can accommodate your needs, as well as your dog's learning style. We explain everything carefully, and your dog's enthusiasm and joy are absolutely essential and will be safeguarded. We strongly urge everyone who has not done so to attend a beginner Stockdog Workshop first to help set the stage. This will give the human half of the team a better understanding of what we are looking for in our stock dogs, and provide a clearer picture of our goals. Text for current times and days We set a rally course with signs Novice-Master. This is a friendly, low-key and supportive group. Whether you just need to practice obedience skills in the presence of other dogs and people, or want to try or advance in the sport of rally, this two-hour drop in is a great opportunity to practice in a supportive environment. Want to give your dog a great hunting hobby? Urban Critter Hunt is the citified (and air-conditioned!) version of Barnhunt. Using live rats hidden safely in little tubes, Urban critter hunt encourages your dog to explore their environment including over and under obstacles in search of our rats. This class is appropriate for any age or breed of dog (we can make accommodations for extremely old or short dogs when setting up hides). We will discuss barn hunt rules, rat safety, and do multiple hides in our indoor location. This is a five week class - cost is $180. Class starts Tuesday November 12 at 7 pm You may pay using a credit card through the website, or pay the first day of class using cash or check. We cannot take credit cards in person.
